Creating Nesting Habitats for Wild Bees Workshop. Saturday 21st March 2020 Cranbrook Estate, Bethnal Green. 

Mark gives an overview of how to make successful solitary bee breeding habitats and we will be creating some breeding habitats on the day as a practical element to the workshop. Spring Bee ID Walk at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park.
Sunday 19th April 2020 1pm-4pm

Celebrate Earth Day by joining Mark and the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery for an introduction to the wonderful world of bees followed by a stroll through The UK's Most Urban woodland in search of some of the 56 species of bee which call the Cemetery Park their home.

This walk is aimed at beginners but those with some existing bee knowledge and identification skills are also very welcome.

Introduction to Beekeeping Course @ St Marys Secret Garden, Hoxton. Saturday and Sunday 25th & 26th April 2020 10am-4pm

Join us for a 2 day intensive beekeeping course where you'll learn all the basics needed to start off on the right foot with beekeeping. The course includes theoretical and practical hands on sessions including building and assembling hives and hive parts as well as handling bees. Inner Temple Gardens spring fayre Sunday 19th May 1pm to 5pm

We'll be at fabulous Inner Temple Garden attending their annual spring fayre with our be information stall, observation hive and will have Local London Honey for sale.

The theme of this years event is trees so we'll have a special trees for bees themed stall.

Natural Bees Wax products Workshop 
Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park. Sunday June 28th 2020 1pm -5pm

Learn how to make a range of home made natural and skin nourishing hand-cremes, lip balms, soaps and furniture polish using plant and vegetable oils with beeswax. Participants will also learn how to make simple candles and beeswax food wraps. All materials are provided and you'll leave with some beautiful products to take home.

Open Garden Squares at Nomura 1 Angel Lane, City of London. 
Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June 2020 10am to 5pm

Once again Apicultural  will have an interactive bee exhibit in the Banks 6th Floor restaurant which leads out onto their multi award winning garden terrace.

Get up close and personal with our observation hive, make beeswax candles, buy honey and experience 'Inside the Hive' in virtual reality 360 degrees.

There will also be tours of the 11th floor wildflower green roof which is the largest green open space in the city of London!

Learn to Love Bees FSC Biolinks Course Wednesday 18th June 2020 9.45am to 4pm Holland Park Ecology Centre

Mark delivers his popular introduction to bee identification course for Field Studies Council-the UK's premier outdoor learning provider.

The cost of this course is £5 per person and is heavily subsidised by Heritage Lottery Fund. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

National Bees Needs Week. Monday July 6th - Sunday July 12th 2020

in 2019 we were one of the winners of the Bees Needs 'Food' and 'Homes award.'  In 2020 Apicultural will be running a number of workshops throughout this week at various locations focussing on the 'London Environment for Bees,' 'Gardening for Pollinators' and 'How to provide nesting Habitat for Solitary Bees.'

Fun filled activities for children where they will learn about the bees role in pollinating the foods that we eat.

Whittington Park 'Big Day Out' Saturday in September exact date TBC 12noon to 5pm

Join us for this huge annual festival in Upper Hollway. Apicultural will be there alongside Octopus Community network running environmental activities, showing our observation hive bees, selling honey and making rolled candles.

Theres also sporting activities, climbing wall, fun fair, competitions, bouncy castle and allot more.
